MCC Midweek
Hello from the interns!
It’s Chris, Erin and Phoebe and today we want to share a little bit about the kids and youth for the MCC.
These last couple of weeks have been crazy for all of us- in the best way!
Finally the restrictions are starting to loosen and we do some of the things we have missed and haven’t been able to since before Christmas.
Today we just want to invite you to have a look into our awesome kids and youth activities and what we get up to during the week!
Ignite
Over the lockdown we kept going with our Tuesday night small groups and now we are finally able to do these in person!
Ignite is our group from the ages 11-15, where we try to help the youth in Moneyreagh become more familiar with the person of Jesus and the Bible.
We play some games and share food together and then go into an interactive bible study where we look at Jesus and different topics of the Bible to help the young people cope with different challenges in their lives.
We love to see young people grow, asking questions, and helping us prepare bible studies. Please pray that the young people will become more curious about Jesus and that He opens their heart for His good news to be real in their lives as they encounter Him!
Pray as well for us, that we have the wisdom and understanding how we can communicate Jesus to them, lead them into His presence and that God uses us as his instruments
Kids club & Friday youth
We were finally able to start our Kids club and our Friday Youth again and it has been crazy.
For Kids Club, the numbers were amazing and the slots were almost full every week. It's been really encouraging to us that we see that the Kids and the Youth in Moneyreagh missed us and are now starting to come back!
For Friday Youth we also got some new faces which we, the interns, haven’t seen before and we feel like we start to connect with the young people in Moneyreagh which is also really encouraging.
Due to Covid we still have to keep various restrictions in place, but these don’t stop us from having lots of fun!
Keep praying for the kids and young people in Moneyreagh so we can connect with them and start new relationships and keep these connections over the summer.
“Who Loves You?”
In the last week of May we ran a “Who Loves You?” week. This week is all about sharing God's love through your own testimony and different “dares”, which help people to share God's love.
You may have already seen some of the Who Loves You signs around the villages with QR codes on them. These QR codes contain little 30 seconds to 1 min videos from people who experienced God's love in a unique way and wanted to share that.
If you see a sign around the village, why not scan it and find out the awesome stories of lots of different people!
Prayer
We would love it everyone would join us in praying for the young people of our community who we get to reach and build relationships with.
As Phoebe prayed last Sunday evening at the Abide prayer and worship service, we pray:
that the Lord’s presence would fill and be all over this village, the centre, the shop, the School, the whole community.
We bless the young people in this area to feel His presence and love, and we release His goodness to be all over our young people as they go into the world.
May they come to know God’s heart for them as they grow. May they grow up rooted in His knowledge of who He says they are. May they be filled with dreams for the rest of their lives with God, of all that He says they will go on to be and do.
Amen
Sign up for this Sunday morning
This Sunday morning Rory will be continuing looking at the book of Acts as we look at Acts 17!
We have kids church on for primary ages and if you could sign up before you come along that would be brilliant!
We will also be hanging out after the service outside the centre with some tea/coffee, treats and HOTDOGS- so please stay around after so we can chat and catch up!

Abide: Worship & prayer
For those of you who missed this last week- we would love to encourage you to consider coming along to the next one- it was amazing to be able to just spend time in worship together and meet with God.
As we looked at Acts 16 last week and the story of Paul, even in jail and beaten, praising God, singing hymns and praying- we were encouraged to worship Him amidst whatever situation or feelings you are having right at this moment- and crying out for Him to move afresh and powerfully in our lives.
A new song
We sang a new powerful song that we think you should have a listen to if you haven’t heard before- here are some of the lyrics:
We worship the God who was
We worship the God who is
We worship the God who evermore will be
He opened the prison doors
He parted the raging sea
My God, He holds the victory
There's joy in the house of the Lord
There's joy in the house of the Lord today
And we won't be quiet
We shout out Your praise
There's joy in the house of the Lord
Our God is surely in this place
And we won't be quiet
We shout out Your praise
(Oh oh, oh-oh) we shout out Your praise
(Oh oh, oh)
We sing to the God who heals
We sing to the God who saves
We sing to the God who always makes a way
'Cause He hung up on that Cross
Then He rose up from that grave
My God's still rolling stones away
We were the beggars
Now we're royalty
We were the prisoners
Now we're running free
We are forgiven, accepted
Redeemed by His grace
Let the house of the Lord sing praise
Hope to see you soon!
